you can't side scrape with this, 70-100 armor when on your side its nothing... Even tier 6 can pen no problem. Also, idk if you can change the skin.

For those who do not know, Wargaming and the boosting companies are one in the same. These boosting companies are ran by Wargaming. How else do you think these people are getting into the same matches? If you don’t know what I’m talking then you are in the blind. Wargaming allows these boosting companies to manipulate NA and EU servers to get the kills they need which in turn is rigging matches basically.

the hull used to hold well against the Soviet 122mm gun back then, but now the 122mm has been buffed and there are tanks with way way higher penetration in tier 8 and even tier 7. there are also same tier autoloading mediums spaming 300+ damage shots at you. type 59 is not OP, it is actually a bit underpower, you are good in one situation only, which is hull down, and the same goes for many other tanks. the panther 88, i am not sure as of this video whether it was buffed already. it actually got buffed and the long 88 now has 280 alpha, which is crazy. and then i check, the same gun on the Tiger I is also changed to 280 alpha. this is insane, back then this gun was only hitting for like 230 or 240. it is fine, just need skills and quite situational because it has no armor. what is fucked up is my FCM50T, when I bought the tank back then, it was the only premium tank that has more than 175mm of penetration, it has 212mm penetration on its 90mm gun. and now it still has the same 212mm penetration and the same 240 alpha damage. this is ridiculous how they buffed the panther 88 and the long 88 in general and make zero changes with the FCM. no armor, no camo, no alpha, poor penetration, average and even poor gun handling, and 300 DPM below panther 8.8. are you fucking kidding me? a medium do 17% more alpha damage and still has 300 DPM above my heavy???

I remember when this thing used to have basically the IS/ IS-2 gun. I just got it now and the buffs have really recovered this thing back from powercreep

I agree Monetization is one of the worst on the market. But it's the grinding that made me quit. It's on korean mmorpg games level. I don't want to spend my life on your game, I've got far more important things to do.

My memory of the KV5 is on console, but coming to PC. Playing the E25 and just death by 100 stings into the R2D2. Yeah, the guy probably wasn't that good, but swore I'd never buy the tank after that.

Accurate. The last few days, I came back to the game. I am a huge fan of the KV line and the Maus one (special mention to british ATs too, especially Tortoise), and I think KV-5 (and KV-4) always have been my favourites, with Maus. Indeed, this tank isn't in a good state at all. Like most if not all super heavies, most of its armor is negated by premium ammo and in KV-5 case, rather massive weakspots. It really is a dinosaur amongst tanks. Indeed, you will suffer playing this tank and you are in a disavantage playing it (objectively, your teamates could even tell you are "throwing" for picking it) but you can make it work if you embrace the pain and reject the game "bs". Even if the tank has preferential matchmaking it's true that he is meant to be (and should be exclusively) a litteral terror on tier VI games where you get the most fun out of this tank, you can rely on two main things gameplay wise: high HP and speed. Forget about playing the meta game where everyone hides behinds a rock, just go out to shot his premium ammo, hides and repeat. Boring. KV-5 cannot compete. But KV-5 is meant, in the perfect decadence of this game to sometimes bless it in making games what it should be: a true melee. Forget about trying to survive with this tank. Playing it, you are already doomed. But you can do as most damage as you can before being destroyed, and bring the more ennemies possible with you. KV-5 can reach a little bit more than 2020 HP with prime equipment, and even gain a solid 40 km/h speed. With a well trained crew to garantee fast track reparation/durability, use your speed to break an enemy line with less or equal nomber of ennemy, and force a melee. In the confusion, you will get the best value of its armor, especially on the side and rear. If they shoot gold, whatever; again, it's in the confusion of the combat that "the stalinium" will bounce a few of them. Use your HP to tank hits for your mates while they get free shots on the ennemies (as true solo players they will focus you most of the time to farm you). Use your huge size to cover your allies and ram ennemies for extra damage/prevent them to aim correctly. You'll also get the best value of the gun mediocre pen (I do not use premium ammo) in getting their flanks. I know it sounds "yolo" but for testing it, it works most of the time. Even destroyed, most of the time decent mates will take advantage of this "suicidal" assault to get their shot, and you'll win at least the front you'r in. With a bit of luck and done well you can even survive. If you can take with you even one enemy it's already not bad. KV-5 seems also to reward a lot of credits even if defeat if you have done a minimum in game. Works with other super heavies with decent mobility or/and high HP, especially Maus. I think it's the better way for "dinosaur" super heavies to work in the free for all premium ammo (I was surprised to noticed that regular ammo seems to had become the premium one, with gold being used in every tier and even against low-tiers with paper armor) and compete against modern heavies with better shape (better all in most cases) hulling down. The question is when and especially where to use the strategy. You wanna use it, cause it's really hard to compete otherwise. Unfortunately, the bad map designs of most maps promotes passive gameplay (for heavies) where you are hardly punish when you try these ambitious moves (that should be rewarded if used correctly) from every enemies across the map (still do not understand why WG loves these "touristic" open maps that do not look like a battlefiled and removed the epic urban one like Kharkov, Stalingrad...). For example, the strategy works very well in the heavy front of Pearl River and similar terrain without the other side of map able to support this front. I really have way more good memories that bad ones using the strategy and it's trully rewarding when you see the enemy line crumbling cause of you.

btw i constantly get spammed with -50% Coupons to buy vehicles in the Premium Shop. Probably cuz i haven't bought anything yet with my 12 year old account and they want to lure me into spending real money 😋 and i was 9 years afk 😄

love this tank, I have it kitted out with turbo, hardening and vents, so its great at ramming, and can run away quick while your waiting for the reload, and the Hardening stops you getting tracked.

Absolutely beast in 2024 because we have experimental hp equipment and we don't set on fire with it. İ have lot of 10k games. Damage maker good tank.

In my experience, this tank's gun is the only thing holding it back. The armor is bearable, it used to work well but now everyone can pen you - even tier 7s and god forbid artillery which can go through your roof pretty well. Just don't expect it's gun handling along with its aim time as "good" it should be a medium range support TD. And remember, nothing can circle you as you turn faster than some light tanks even, so good luck out there

I had quit WoT shortly after the Object 263 line got changed. Believe it or not, the M44 used to be so much worse than it was at the time you made this video. It had the 900 damage HE shell with the 15 second cooldown and still had all the mobility characteristics it still has today. But it also had a 700 damage HEAT shell with 240mm of penetration. Imagine the SU-152 spamming HEAT in Arty mode at Tier VI. This shit was so overpowered that many older players no doubt remember having matches where these bastards topped the damage tables for the whole match with 8-12k damage… IN A TIER X MATCH!!! I got a few 8K damage matches in Tier X doing this myself when I was grinding for my third MOE.

I used Vert stab, experimental turbo/rotation device and Rammer, I still miss half my shots 😅, I still think its better than the Chinese tier 9 heavy premium, that has worse gun handling than artillery.

I stopped being masochist.Wot is painfull enough 😂
